TEETH IN ONE DAY
Dr. Alvaro Medina is a specialist in the ALL ON 4 “Teeth in a day” technique. This technique will be performed in patients who have lost all their teeth or it is necessary to extract them because they have lost their function and / or aesthetics and it is not feasible to treat them.
In the same surgical session the extractions of the remaining teeth will be performed and a correct preparation of the area that will house the dental implants will be carried out. Implants are then placed in the most optimal position, which is previously planned with an implantological study and 3D radiography.

Implants post-extraction and immediate loading
This includes cases where one or more teeth are replaced for various reasons such as tooth decay, dental fractures, mobility and other causes.
We use immediate implantology techniques, where we perform the extraction of the tooth or teeth that are in poor condition, sanitation of the area and placement of implants in the same clinical session. That same day and depending on the aesthetic needs that the case requires, it is also possible in most cases to place in a fixed way an immediate dental prosthesis, also called “immediate loading” technique where in Medident we are specialists.
Minimal pain
Part of our success is due to the fact that we are very committed to perform the treatments in a painless way thanks to a correct sedation and/or local anesthesia, so the patient will not suffer any pain or discomfort during the surgical procedure. We have a very refined post-surgical protocol to guarantee a quick recovery.
We are specialists in cases with little maxillary bone. The jaws suffer atrophy processes due to the loss of dental pieces, especially when a long time has passed. Being directly proportional, the more time passes, the more loss of bone structure will occur. We have several techniques to deal with these cases, returning to the patient an optimal masticatory function and excellent aesthetics.
Being a specialist center in this type of cases with little bone, we have the most innovative diagnostic tools such as 3D digital radiography or “3D DENTAL CT” with which we perform a complete study of each case. With the digital study, we place the implants virtually prior to surgery, so we arrive at the day of surgery with as much information as possible.
Platelet-rich plasma
We perform in our surgeries BIOSTIMULATION with Platelet Rich Plasma, a minimally painful technique and with it very good results are achieved.
PRP is an autologous biological component, that is, it is obtained from the patient’s own blood, taking a simple sample by venous puncture in the clinic. It is then introduced into our centrifuge to separate the different components. A portion of the centrifugate contains many platelets, which are the cells involved in coagulation. These cells possess a large number of growth factors, which stimulate the tissue repair response.
The amount of platelets it contains is five times greater than that found in normal blood, thus offering much better healing. Once the PRP has been obtained, it can be applied to the operated area.
As it is plasma extracted from the patient himself, it is not toxic and does not react immunologically in the patient.
This technique is currently being used in different fields of medicine, such as oral and maxillofacial surgery as in our case, but also in atroscopic surgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiac surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, vascular medicine, dermatology, aesthetic medicine and alopecia.
